AIRPORT PLANNER

Coffman Associates is currently seeking an experienced airport planner for our Overland Park, Kansas, or Scottsdale, Arizona, offices.

Qualified candidates will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Community and Regional Planning, Geography, Transportation Planning, or a related field.  A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in airport master planning.

We are specifically seeking candidates to prepare and conduct airport master plan studies through research, analyzing data, and writing reports.  Experience in these areas through the preparation of technical reports is beneficial. The candidate should have strong writing and verbal skills and be proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Basic experience with GIS software is a plus.  Knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations and advisory circulars related to airport planning is preferred. The ideal candidate will be expected to make public presentations to airport advisory committees, the public, City Council/Commissions, and neighborhood groups. Ultimately, the ideal candidate will advance to project management, client relations, and business development.
